The Sweet Scallops Tote

Hallöchen,
wie schon erwähnt mache ich beim See Kate Sew - The Sweet Scallops Tote-Sew Along mit.












Und hier ist meine fertige Tasche. Wow, ich meine ich habe noch fast einen ganzen Monat Zeit um sie fertig
zu stellen, aber ich habe es tatsächlich schon jetzt geschafft... Yay für Catrin. ;o) Ich bin sonst eigentlich jemand, der immer alles vor sich herschiebt und erst in der letzten Minute fertig wird.

Also Taaaa-daaaa:

Ich habe beschlossen die Farben auf Grau und Gelb zu beschränken. Warum? Weil ich die Kombo unheimlich gerne mag. Sogar mein Blog ist Gelb und Grau...
Um mein mich auch noch in die Tasche miteinzubringen, habe ich noch Tüll und eine Blume der Tasche zugefügt. Am Anfang war ich mir nicht sicher, ob das mit dem Tüll so ne gute Idee war, aber ich finde es ist super geworden und ich hätte ihn sogar noch mehr raffen und evtl. zwei Lagen in eine Schicht machen können. Hier eine Nahaufnahme:

Schon als ich Kates Tasche das erste Mal gesehen habe, habe ich mir gedacht, diese Tasche braucht unbedingt eine Blume. Und hier ist sie:

Inspiriert wurde sie durch diese Blume von Kim von A girl and a glue gun, allerdings habe ich mich entschlossen, dass ich meinen Stoff mit der Nähmaschine raffe. Wer Hilfe dabei braucht, hier gibt es ein tolles Tutorial von Disney von Ruffles and Stuff.

as I mentioned I'm participatig in the See Kate Sew The Sweet Scallops Tote-Sew Along.






And my Tote is finished. Wow, I still have nearly a monthe left, but I am already done. Yay, for me... ;o) Seriously, I'm usually the BIGGEST procrastinator in the world.... I'm actually pretty proud of myself for not waitng till the last mintue.
So a drum roll please, here it is...

The color scheme is gray and yellow. I just love that combo. Even my blog is gray and yellow.
To add a little me to my tote, I added tulle and a flower. In the beginning, I wasn't sure if the tulle would work, but I think it turned out really nice. I could've even added more ruffles or more layers. Here is a close-up:

The first time I saw Kate's tote, I thought, this tote needs a flower.
And here it is:

The flower is inspired by this flower from Kim from A girl and a glue gun, though I did ruffle the tulle and fabric with my sewing machine. If anyone needs help with this, Disney from Ruffles and Stuff, has this awesome tutorial.
