Fun Fact about my Blog

 

So as you might see, I changed the look of my Blog to grey and yellow. Yesterday I mentioned that I really like that color-combo. And now that is obvious.
But back to my Fun Fact. Did you notice that there is a spelling mistake? The header says: Bilingual Craftin and Sewing... Stupid Me! Haha, but that is not the only time that has happened. Somehow I seem to not like that g in the end of Craftin, because my E-Mail adress for this Blog is actually bilingual_craftin_sewing(at)yahoo(dot)com!
Again a missing g. I don't know, if I change it in the header or not. But I won't set up a new E-Mail adress. I just think it makes it a little extra special. It is after all a conversation starter...
On a sidenote: I might not be able to sew anything in the next few days, due to the fact that our basement is beeing tiled and the washing-maschines and dryer will have to be infront of my sewing machine for a couple of days. Now you wonder, why I don't just take it up to my room. Well, I am working on an old sewing-machine that is built in  in a cabinet, which isn't easily moved to some better place.
But I might be able to post a cute little tutorial next week.

P.S.: Ich hab den Header-Rechtschreibfehler verbessert. Ich musste den Header eh ändern, weil ein Teil des Schattens vom Schmetterling irgendwie verloren gegangen ist...

Also wie ihr vielleicht bemerkt habt, habe ich meinem Blog verändert. Die vorherrschenden Farben sind nun gelb und grau. Gestern habe ich schon erwähnt, dass diese Farbkombo mit außerordentlich gut gefällt und jetzt sieht mans auch an meinem Blog.
Aber jetzt zum Fun-Fact: Habt ihr schon bemerkt, dass mein Header einen Rechtschreibfehler hat? Jap, Bilingual Craftin and Sewing. Es fehlt ein g bei Crafting... Haha, ich Dummerchen. Aber das is ja noch nicht alles. Meine E-Mail-Adresse hat genau den gleichen Fehler: bilingual_craftin_sewing(at)yahoo(punkt)com
Ich scheine wohl ein schwerwiegendes Problem mit dem Buchstaben g zu haben ;o)
Vielleicht ändere ichs beim Header, jedoch mache ich keine neue E-Mail Adresse. Es macht sie nur ein bisschen mehr besonders, als sie für mich eh schon ist und darüber hinaus ist es auch noch ein Anfang für eine kleine nette Unterhaltung...
Nur so nebenbei. Leider habe ich die nächsten paar Tage wahrscheinlich keinen Zugang zu meiner Nähmaschine, da unsere Waschmaschinen und der Trockner in mein kleines Kellereck gestellt werden, weil unsere Waschküche und der Flur im Keller gefliest werden. Tja so is es halt.  Natürlich könnte man sich jetzt fragen, wieso nimmt sie ihre Nähmaschine nicht mit in die Küche oder in ihr Zimmer oder sonstwohin. Tja, ich arbeite an einer sehr alten Maschine, die in so einem kleinen Schränckchen eingebaut ist. Man kann sie also leider nicht mal eben so schnell irgendwohin mit nehmen...
Aber ich hoffe ich habe schon in ein paar Tagen ein schönes Tutorial für euch, was allerdings nichts mit Nähen zu tun hat.

Bilingual Crafting and Sewing

Hi, 
my name is Catrin and I’m a 23 years old student at the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg. You may be asking yourself: What? Where? Where is that? Well, you see, even though my blog’s title is English, I’m from Germany. To be exact I’m from a teeny tiny town near Nuremberg, Bavaria. A little more than a year ago, I discovered the wonderful and gigantic world of craft blogging. I now follow a gazillion different crafting and sewing blogs and I'm enjoying that immensly. I always liked crafting and I started sewing a while ago and now I've decided to start my own blog to document my adventures to become a better crafter and a sewer, cause really I haven't that much experience in that area.

I named it “Bilingual Crafting and Sewing”, because this blog is going to be in two languages. German and English. German because I feel like I have to contribute to the German crafting community and because it is my native language. English because I enjoy the English language and there is a far greater community of crafting in English and I want to join them in their adventures of blogging about crafting and sewing.

Hopefully this blog is going to grow and flourish and I can share the things I make with others.

Hallo, 

ich heiße Catrin und studiere an der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr habe ich die Welt der Bastel- und Nähblogs kennengelernt. Da ich schon immer gerne gebastelt habe und angefangen habe Nähen zu lernen, habe ich beschlossen dieser Welt beizutreten.


Mein Blog heißt "Bilingual Crafting and Sewing", weil er in zwei Sprachen sein wird. Deutsch, da ich das Gefühlt habe unbedingt zur deutschen Bastel- und Nähwelt beizutreten und weil natürlich Deutsch meine Muttersprache ist. Englisch, weil das Blogland dort viel größer ist und unglaublich viel zu bieten hat. Davon möchte ich gern ein Teil sein.


Ich hoffe, dieser Blog wird wachsen und gedeihen und ich kann das was ich mache mit anderen Teilen.
